A merchant interested in the Variable Price Barcode Parser app Shopify POS saw that there is an option within the app that allows you to scan items with the Socket Mobile barcode scanner instead of the camera. When the merchant would try to use the Socket Mobile to scan items, it wouldn’t read anything.
The merchant explained that when he tried scanning the barcode with his Socket Mobile scanner, it just beeped and nothing came up. The scanner was working fine with regular products on Shopify. He was able to scan the barcode with the Ipad camera in the Variable Price Barcode Parser app; the weight and price came out correctly, but using the camera is not really convenient for them. He wanted to know if there is a setting he needed to change for the barcode scanner.
