Tobacco Scan Data captures tobacco sales in CorePOS at checkout and sends them through discounts, loyalty, and weekly reporting. Multipack, loyalty validation, and digital coupons apply in the POS flow for Altria, Reynolds, ITG, and Swedish Match PMI.
Scan Data needs valid tobacco discount data. Discount Scheduler is the app that applies multipack / multi-can promos for Altria, Reynolds, ITG, and Swedish Match PMI. Merchants can set those discounts themselves or load Altria terms through the Price Promotion API.
Native inventory does not hold the extra tobacco fields Scan Data needs. Inventory plus plus stores that item data, marks which products are in the program, and is the inventory tool integrated with Scan Data. It can also take Altria API item and price updates.
Manufacturer loyalty needs a customer record, usually a phone number. That part of Scan Data is optional. If the merchant wants the loyalty rebate program, Cloud CRM is the app that enrolls the customer and applies the discount. Loyalty terms can be set in the app or loaded by the Altria API.
Optional automation for Altria merchants. After the merchant authorizes CSI Works in Altria’s consent manager, multipack terms flow into Discount Scheduler, loyalty terms flow into Cloud CRM, and item/price updates can flow into Inventory++. Manual setup stays available if they do not turn the API on.

Sante POS has completed integration with the CSI Works Tobacco Scan Data API. Sante merchants can submit Scan Data for Altria, Reynolds, ITG, Swedish Match. POS makers who want the same integration can apply for API access.

Interacts with other hardware

Tobacco Scan Data runs on the smart POS device and the existing barcode scanner. It does not need a separate scale, printer, or other peripheral.
