Weight Embedded Barcode Parser
Use label printing scale with your smart POS.
Read weight embedded barcodes.
Because Weight Embedded Barcode Parser expands the capabilities of the barcode reader.
Do you run a meat market, deli, or any store that has variable or per unit priced items? Do you have to weigh and label the item in one section of the store and have check out in another? Now you can do just that. The Weight Embedded Barcode Parser app expands the capabilities of the barcode reader and helps it understand that it needs to look for item numbers and then add the weight. This gives business owners the ability to use any scale with label printing capability along with their smart POS Like Clover.
- Seamlessly connect label-printing scales to Clover for smooth, weight-based transactions.
- Automate pricing based on weight embedded in barcodes — no manual entry required.
- Improve accuracy and speed at checkout by eliminating the need to key in weights.
- Maintain precise inventory tracking for variable weight items like meats, produce, and bulk goods.
- Reduce errors and ensure pricing consistency, especially when scales default to weight-embedded format.
- Compatible with a wide range of label-printing scales — flexibility for your store setup.

Clover supports built-in barcode scanners and two external models sold directly by Clover. While most USB barcode scanners work for fixed-price items, variable-weight or per-unit weight barcodes require a scanner purchased from Clover.
Weight Embedded Barcode Parser works inside the Smart POS native environment, while Shopventory takes the barcode scan outside of that environment. Shopventory does not support variable-weight or per-unit items. CSI Works offered to collaborate, but Shopventory declined.
